Time Changes for Two Kentucky Men’s Basketball Games

Press Release: UK Athletics The Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday two schedule updates to upcoming SEC games for the Kentucky men’s basketball team.  The game at Alabama on Jan. 3 will now begin at Noon ET. The game will remain on ESPN. The home game vs. Oklahoma on Feb. 4 will now tip at 9 p.m. ET with an ESPN2 broadcast.  TV designations for the home games vs. Ole Miss, Georgia, Vanderbilt and Florida, as well as the away games at Auburn and Texas A&M will be announced at a later date.

Cyclist killed after being hit while crossing highway

BELFRY, Ky. — A Pike County man was killed while riding a bicycle on U.S. 119 before sunrise Wednesday. According to the Pike County Coroner’s Office, Eric Bentley, 40, of Freeburn, was crossing the highway in front of Belfry Middle School around 6:30 Wednesday morning, when he rode into the path of a truck and was hit. He died at the scene. Deputy Coroner Mike Hall said the driver remained on scene and fully cooperated with the investigation. He said no charges were filed at the scene. Kentucky State Police is investigating the incident.
