Police investigating death of Floyd woman

Trishanna "Nikki" Nicole Anderson DuncanHUEYSVILLE, Ky. – Police are investigating after a woman’s body was found along a railroad in Floyd County earlier this month. Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville received a call from Prestonsburg 911 on Saturday, March 7, regarding an unresponsive woman at Hueysville. Officers responding to the scene near Mulberry Lane found the body of Trishanna “Nikki” Nicole Anderson Duncan, 32, of Garrett, near railroad tracks. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office. Her body has been transported to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Eagles continue trip to Carolina Mountains with 4-Game Weekend Set at Western Carolina

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State wraps up its long road swing with a four-game series at Western Carolina in Cullowhee, North Carolina. First pitch Thursday and Friday is set for 5 p.m. ET. The Bears got a 10-2 win over Penn State-DuBois before dropping the finale to Pfiffer (N.C.) University 4-3. Prosecution seeks another delay in Amber Spradlin case

Amber SpradlinPRESTONSBURG, Ky. — The Amber Spradlin murder trial could be delayed again, after prosecutors asked for another postponement on Wednesday. Spradlin’s body was found June 18, 2023, at the Arkansas Creek home of Prestonsburg dentist Michael McKinney. McKinney’s son, M.K. McKinney, has been charged with her murder, while both McKinneys and family friend Josh Mullins are charged with multiple counts of evidence tampering for allegedly trying to cover up the crime.
