Free WiFi zones being established in areas affected by flood

Eight stations offering free wireless internet have been established in areas hardest hit by flash flooding two weeks ago. The WiFi zones are furnished by Accelecom, a Kentucky-based high-speed fiber optics provider and the exclusive wholesaler of the KentuckyWired Project, and Rajant Corporation, the pioneer of Kinetic Mesh wireless networks with operations in Morehead. All eight of these locations were chosen for these Wi-Fi zones due to the local Eastern Kentucky Health Departments’ established connections onto Accelecom’s fiber network.
