EASTERN, Ky. – Floyd County Central’s Whitley Hall signed this past week to play softball at the college level for Crestview Hills’ Thomas More Saints. Hall was a double threat by her junior year, batting .358 at the plate with 31 hits and 34 RBIs while tallying 94 strikeouts on the mound, building on that during her standout senior year at the school. RICHMOND, Va. — Recreational marijuana sales are expected to soon be legal just across the state line from Pike County, as the Virginia legislature passed a framework for retail sales on Saturday. Gov. Abigail Spanbarger has previously said she will sign the bill. Once signed, the new law will allow anyone 21 or older to buy cannabis from a licensed establishment, beginning Jan. 1.
