The Pike County Central Hawks opened their season on a high note Monday night, taking down Wesley Christian 74–62 at the Hawks Nest. Pike Central had three players finish in double figures, including a big double-double performance from Owen Bowman, who powered the Hawks with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Bowman shot 46.7 percent from the field and was nearly automatic at the free-throw line, going 9-for-10.
