Hawks Take Flight in Season Opener, Roll Past Wesley Christian

The Pike County Central Hawks opened their season on a high note Monday night, taking down Wesley Christian 74–62 at the Hawks Nest. Pike Central had three players finish in double figures, including a big double-double performance from Owen Bowman, who powered the Hawks with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Bowman shot 46.7 percent from the field and was nearly automatic at the free-throw line, going 9-for-10. Louisa Food City employee named Kentucky’s ‘Best Bagger’

Gabe BowlingABINGDON, Va. – Gabe Bowling, a courtesy clerk for the Food City in Louisa, recently won the Kentucky Best Bagger competition. The contest included 13 contestants and took place in October in Hazard.
