PAINTSVILLE, Ky. – Johnson Central officials made the announcement Tuesday afternoon that the new head coach of its volleyball program would be the seasoned Andrew Lafferty. Ethan Carter is the epitome of a student-athlete.   Pike County Central junior, Ethan Carter, has been accepted into the prestigious U.S. Naval Academy 2026 Summer Seminar. This is a program for rising seniors across the country for students looking to join the Naval Academy after graduation. Only 2,500 student athletes are selected each year for this opportunity, making it a very competitive program.   The two-sport athlete had to earn his spot in the USNA Summer Seminar. He has a 4.0 GPA, and is a member of the Beta Club, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and National Honor Society. Ethan doesn’t let being a varsity football and baseball player distract him from what is most important.
