ASHLAND, Ky. — A Pike County man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge for threatening Judge-Executive Ray Jones over social media. Ronald Ferguson Jr., of Elkhorn City, made several posts on Facebook threatening to kill or injure Jones in February. In his signed plea agreement, Ferguson admitted making Facebook videos vowing to “hunt” Jones down and threatening to shoot him on the courthouse steps. Ferguson will face up to five years in prison when he is sentenced March 16.

BELFRY, Ky. — A routine home visit from the Division of Probation and Parole ended up sending a Belfry man to jail facing drug trafficking and other charges. Kentucky State Police was called to the home of Frankie Myers Jr., 47, of Belfry, Friday afternoon, after parole officers reported finding drugs and guns at his home. VAN LEAR, Ky. — A Johnson County woman faces burglary and other charges after allegedly breaking into an iconic Johnson County business. BOONS CAMP, Ky. — A Johnson County man is facing a felony assault charge after allegedly attacking a woman with a machete Friday night. Kentucky State Police was called to a residence in Martin County, where the woman had been dropped off after the attack.
