Two children killed in house fire

INEZ, Ky. — Police are investigating after two young boys were killed in a house fire Friday. Kentucky State Police was notified about the fire at a home on Tug River Road in Inez just after 8:30 a.m. Inside the remains of the home, firefighters found the bodies of the two boys. The Mountain Citizen reported that Martin County Coroner Chris Todd had identified the victims as Jason Lee Mollette, 1, and Greyson Marcum, 4. Sheriff: Police investigating after man shot

UPDATE, 7:15 p.m. — Sheriff Hunt has confirmed that an arrest has now been made, but not directly connected to the shooting. Hunt said a woman was arrested on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. Floyd man out of jail following drug plea arrested for meth, fentanyl trafficking

Keith WebbDWALE, Ky. — A Floyd County man out of jail after pleading guilty to drug charges back in June was arrested on Friday for drug trafficking. Keith Webb, 49, of Dwale, was indicted for meth trafficking last year, but pleaded guilty to possession instead and received a three-year suspended sentence. On Thanksgiving, deputies were tipped that he had been seen going to a known drug dealer’s home, so they went to check it out. A deputy spotted him driving and attempted to pull him over, but the police report alleges Webb gave the officer the middle finger and took off. […]
