TOMAHAWK, Ky. — A Martin County man and woman face drug trafficking charges, after police found a large amount of meth hidden in their truck. A Martin County sheriff’s deputy was patrolling Milo Road, when he saw a truck with a sign blocking the rear window veering over the center line in a curve. The deputy wrote in his report the occupants — Larry Joe Horn Jr., 58, and Brandi Moore, 35, both of Inez — appeared nervous and were shuffling around inside the truck after he pulled them over. FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Power is asking the Public Service Commission for a permission to spread out January’s fuel adjustment charge in order to make winter heating bills a little easier on customers. Beginning the last week of January, Eastern Kentucky experienced a prolonged cold spell that saw temperatures remain below freezing for two weeks.
