Pike Central Marching Hawks dominate competition
The Pike County Central High School Marching Hawks placed First in Class AA at this past weekend’s Thunder on the Hill competition at Huntington High School in Huntington, West Virginia. Adding to that accolade, their percussion section took First Place Percussion, color guard earned Second Place Guard, and senior trombonist Hunter Allen won Best Soloist for his featured performance. The loss marks the first of the Will Stein era, giving the Wildcats’ head coach a 1-1 record in his first two games. Man sentenced to 11 years for conspiracy to distribute meth in three counties
ASHLAND, Ky. — A Wolfe County man has been sentenced for a scheme to distribute meth across three Eastern Kentucky counties. Back in February, Clyde “Rudy” Endicott, 55, of Hazel Green, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth, in exchange for having six other drug and gun charges dismissed. In doing so, he admitted to obtaining meth from a supplier and distributing the drug in Wolfe, Breathitt and Magoffin counties from June 2023 to July 2025.
