Diallo started 29 of the 33 games in which he appeared as a sophomore with the Huskies. He averaged 15.7 points and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting 48.9% from the field. NEWLAND, N.C. — Valley Elementary’s fifth-grade basketball team captured the championship at the fourth annual Viking Classic — Battle at the Border this weekend, finishing a perfect 4-0 against a competitive, multi-state field. Coached by Jordan Johnson, Valley topped an eight-team bracket featuring programs from North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky. The team’s consistent play on both ends of the floor fueled its 4-0 run to the title.
